The Captain Douglas DiCenzo Camp Fund

The Captain Douglas DiCenzo Camp Fund was established in 2007 to help send kids to camps. The Fund is in memory of Captain Douglas DiCenzo, a West Point graduate and Plymouth, NH native who was killed in action while serving his country during the war with Iraq.

In its first year of existence, Doug's Camp Fund sent 26 kids to different camps and supported programs that touched more than 2,000 students. Their adventures can be seen in our Camp Fund photo album. Some of the kids have also described their experiences in letters to the fund.

Camps attended included Plymouth Park and Rec Camp, Rising Stars Sports Camp, Bruce Baumgartner's Wrestling Camp, Boston University Football Camp, Camp Lawerence, Kimball Union Summer Enrichment Camp, Gynmastice Village Camp, Camp Joslyn, Squam Lakes Sailing Camp, Squam Lakes Science Camp, Mindflight at PSU, Young Writer's Camp at PSU, Camp Invention, Camp MI-TE-NA, PSU Field Hockey Camp, Pitching Camp and Rachel's Challenge, a program presented to all of Plymouth Regional High School.

Parents and their children are encouraged to apply for assistance from the Fund. Letters of inquiry are accepted on a rolling basis. If you have any questions, please refer to our Camp Fund Application FAQ page.
